These full day Chiang Mai tours will take you all around the Chiang Mai area. To the south we can travel to the Doi Inthernon national park and to the north the area of Chiang Rai.

We can visit the Long Neck Karen, Akha, Lisu and Hmong tribes in their villages high in the mountains or drive up to the highest point in Thailand. We will ride elephants, visit the mighty Mekong river and overlook Burma and Laos at The Golden Triangle.

Learn to cook some of the spicy Northern Thai dishes at a cookery school so you will be able to enjoy those exotic tastes when you return home.

Doi Suteph Tours

Elephant Safari Tour (F01)

We will drive for about an hour, passing through spectacular countryside, seeing Thai life en route.

We will visit an elephant camp where we will watch an elephant Show and then have an elephant safari, riding majestically for an hour into the forest.

After this adventure let me take you to visit a Lisu Hill Tribe followed by Ox Cart Riding.

We will then return to the Elephant Camp for some lunch.

In the afternoon we can do some bamboo rafting. the water is not deep or fast running and this is very safe so don’t worry it is completely suitable for adults and kids!!

On the way back to Chiang Mai we will visit an Orchid Farm.

Doi Inthanon tours

Doi Inthanon National Park (F02)

Doi Inthanon is the highest peak in Thailand at 2,565 Metres above sea level.

The area is covered by evergreen forests which are very unusual and unique to this part of Thailand.

We will visit the great Twin Royal Pagodas built as a tribute to the King and Queen of Thailand as well as beautiful flower gardens.

Then visit Red Karen Hill Tribe village and after that Wachirathan Waterfall, one of the biggest in the Chiang Mai Region.

on the way back to Chiang mai we visit Wat Pra That Chomthong Temple, one of the most holy temples in Chiang Mai.

One Day Chiang Rai Tour

1 Day Chiang Rai Tour (F03)

In the morning we drive through the mountains to Chiang Rai seeing beautiful scenery on the way.

After a stop at the ancient temple, Wat Chedi Luang we drive about 9 km to the Golden Triangle spectacularly located by the Maekong River on the exact border of three countries, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar (Burma) and with the hills of China also visible on a clear day.

The Golden Triangle was notorious mostly as the central point for Opium trading and smuggling between the four countries.

Our next stop is Maesai the most Northern town in Thailand, right on the border with Myanmar/ Burma, where there are many markets selling goods and produce mainly from China.

We then return to Chaing Mai.

Akha tribe
 Karen Longneck 1 day Tour (F04)

We start with a lovely drive to Thaton, two hours North of Chiang Mai.

On the way make a stop at Chiang Dao Caves, then drive on to Thaton.

Visit Thaton Temple, Lunch at a local restaurant on the banks of the Mae Kok River.

After lunch, visit the village of Long Neck Karen or Padong People. Also visit Lahu and Akha tribes, then return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon On the way back to Chiang Mai the last stop will be made at an orchid farm.

Drive through the picturesque mountains North from Chiang Mai with a stop at the hot springs where you can even cook eggs in the boiling water!

We then continue the drive to Chiang Rai (the most Northern Province of Thailand) and visit Chiang Saen, the ancient city located on the Maekong River.

Then visit the Golden Triangle where three countries meet and was world famous, and infamous, for the opium trade and smuggling of opium.

After that travel to Mae Sai, the border between Thailand and Myanmar/Burma.

Visit some Hill Tribes, Karen Longneck, Akha and “Big Ear” Hill Tribe Villages.

On the way back to Chiang Mai, you will enjoy spectacular views of mountains and rice fields.
