Course 1.  The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai

The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai comprises some 450 rai of land that nestles in a valley between the mountain ranges in the heart of the San Kampaeng natural forests. It is undoubtedly one of the golf courses in Chiang Mai that boast of the best in natural beauty. The design of the course, by world-famous golf course designer Mr Ron M Garl, was inspired by the magnificent hills in its horizon. No matter where you are on the course, you are enjoy nature at her best: exquisite lush green from the nearby forests – which comprise a rich assembly of trees such as the golden teakwood, the Dipterocarpus Alatus and many more other species.

Course 3.  Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club

45 minute drive from the City of Chiang Mai. A concept nurtured and developed under the careful supervision of 5 times British Open Champion and golf legend Peter Thomson from Australia. His vision was to create a challenging course for amateur and professional alike while still keeping in the harmony with the natural scenery and rolling countryside. Royal Chiang Mai is a beautiful course, challenging, but playable for both low and higher handicappers. The course is 6387 yards from the white tees, and 6969 yards from the blacks.

Course 4.  Chiang Mai Green Valley Golf Course

30 minute drive from the City of Chiang Mai. Designed by Denis Griffiths, Chiang Mai Green Valley golf course is an 18 hole course, 6485 yards off the white tees, and 7205 yards rom the back tees. The  holes are laid out on flat fields and separated with big palm trees. The lay-out of the course includes quite a lot of challenging water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers, but not too much to fear for most players. The scenery at Green Valley is spectacular, so if you re not having a great round, enjoy the scenery instead!

Course 5.  Mae Jo Golf Club Chiang Mai

Situated right behind Mae Jo University, the oldest agricultural college in Chiang Mai, the course is only 20 minutes drive from the City Centre. The course features rolling Zoysia grass fairways and large challenging Korea Velvet greens with beautiful views of Doi Suthep and other surrounding mountain ranges. With thousands of matured Longan, Lychee, Mango, Pomelo, and Tangerine trees alongside its fairways, the golf course looks and plays more like a well-matured course rather than a newly constructed one.

The course was designed by Seni Thirawat, and is 6537 yards from the whites, and 6657 yards from the blue tees, and the course feature many elevated tee positions, and some spectacular and challenging dogleg holes.

Course 6.   Chiang Mai Highland Golf Club

Chiang Mai Highlands, designed by Schmidt-Curley, is the creative team responsible for the redesign of Muang Kaew Golf Course in Bangkok as well as many of Asia's exciting new courses.

The course opened in 2005 and is located next to the hills east of Chiang Mai. Golfers have a magnificent view from every hole. The course is exciting and challenging for  players of all abilities. Chiang Mai Highlands has a superbly maintained practice facility including several practice greens, a short game area and a superb 300 yard driving range.

As the players approach the first tee they have a real sense of a new golf challenge, as unusually, most of the course lay out can be seen from the elevated first tee. There are  magnificent views of the entire course and the mountain skyline in the background. The course is 6316 yards from the white tees and 7063 from the championship tees.

Course 7.  Gassan Lake And Marina Golf Courses Chiang Mai

Gassan Lake City  and Marina courses are situated side by side just 20 minutes from the City Centre, and as the name of the courses imply, water features heavily on almost every hole on both courses. Not for the faint hearted, and bring plenty of golf balls! Idyllically set among rice paddy fields, it offers a golfing experience suitable for those who love a tough game, tricky water hazards and strategic play.

Course 8.  Santiburi Golf Club Chiang Rai

10 minute drive from the City of Chiang Rai, designed by Robert Trent-Jones Junior, one of the worlds finest golf course designers, Santiburi is a course where many Championship events have already been played. Long fairways set amongst rolling green hills, and with many bunkers, lake and trees, Santiburi is a course where you have to think your way around! 6335 yards off the whites, and 6966 off the black tees.

Course 9.  Waterford Chiang Rai Golf Club

A 40 minute drive from the City of Chiang Rai, designed by Rather International Golf Design. An 18 hole championship golf course with 9 holes set on hillsides. The beautiful mountains of the North provide a pleasant distraction to a day on the fairways which themselves are a beautiful sight for the eyes, surrounded by trees, shrubs and bushes. The course is 6458 yards off the whites and 6961 off the blue tees.
